What Is The Distance They Cover?
All salt lamps sizing does different area coverage’s.
For example, a salt lamp that weights approx 2-3kg will ionize approx 10-12 square meter area, that is suitable for a standard size bedroom.
A 6-8kg Himalayan salt lamp that will ionize approx 30-36 square meter area, suitable for a small open living area or a large lounge room.
If you are looking for an open plan area consisting of a kitchen, dining room, lounge room, and it is approx 55-60 square meter coverage, then we would suggest purchasing a 16-18kg Lamp to cover that area.
All different sized salt lamps will do different areas, so before you choose to ask us to assist you to choose the right salt lamp for you.
A lot of people ask if the tea light candle holders cover a room size, the answer to that question is NO, they only cover their personal space which is one meter by one meter.
How Long Do The Salt Lamps Last?
The Himalayan salt lamps will last FOREVER, if you leave the salt lamps on 24hrs a day, 7days a week.
The heat from the light globe will keep them dry.

Salt lamps will sweat if exposed to cold temperatures /or high humidity if they are not in use.
They should not sweat if they are switch on.
If you switch off the salt lamp and leave it off for a few days, there is no heat source so therefore the salt lamp will draw in the moisture and start to leak or cry as we say.
If you leave your salt lamp off for a very long time, it will also start to crystalise, this means it will start to drop salt, at the base of the salt lamp and often onto the surface it is sitting on.
By keeping the salt lamps on, 24/7 the heat from the light globe will keep it always dry while activating the negative ions to be released into the air.
We recommend leaving the salt lamps on to get the greatest benefits.
Always switch off the power while changing the light globe or moving the salt lamp.
If you plan not to use the salt lamp for longer period of time or you go away on holidays, we recommend to switch off the salt lamp.
Remove the cord and globe from your salt lamp.
Cover the salt lamp with a plastic bag to prevent moisture being absorbed particularly in humid conditions.

Salt is hygroscopic, which mean it will draw moisture to the salt lamps when they are off.
Sometime in particular moist or humid conditions the salt lamps surface may be slightly damp, they are safe to wipe clean with a damp cloth and leave on.
Before cleaning switch, the salt lamp off, at the power source, wait until the globe cools then remove cord and globe, then clean.
All you need is a damp cloth, make sure you squeeze out excess water as much as possible then wipe clean.
Wipe clean if you have dust particles and then switch on.
After cleaning, replace the cord and globe back into the salt lamp, then switch on and leave on.
This would evaporate the moisture from the surface with heat.
Do not submerge your salt lamp in water.
Do not leave in water.
Do not apply any other cleaning products on the lamp.
How Do I Put My Salt Lamp Together? 
Remove plastic from your salt lamp.
Screw the light globe firmly into the power cord socket.
Gently push in the butterfly metal clips at the bottom of the base and insert the fitting into the base of the salt lamp until the metal clips spring into place.
Place your salt lamp in position and leave on.
Are Salt Lamps Safe To Leave On?
Yes!!! as the salt lamps do not burn, they are recommended to leave on 24/7 as the salt lamps is a natural filter that will rid your home of air pollution and positive ions, working as a natural air purifier, keep the salt lamp on to maintain this purifying effect.
Ensure you use the correct globes for your salt lamps cords.
Make sure when purchasing, buy your salt lamp from a reputable company.
What Globes Do I Use? 
At Forever Exotic we use a 12-watt oven globe in our salt lamps suitable for ovens tempered glass for high heat environment (means the globes will last longer) and it is heat resistant.
It is recommended to replace with a 12watt light globe with the 12v cord.
Please ensure the old 15watt - 240watt no longer work in the new regulation cords.
Ensure to match up the correct globe and cord for your salt lamp.
With new regulations the power cord is converted down to 12v, so only the 12watt globe will work.

A lot of other companies do sell night light globes, we try to avoid selling them, due to the fact that those globes blow out very quickly.
They have a very thin glass, oven globes have a thicker tempered glass and better filaments so they last a lot longer.
What Do I Do When Globes Pop All The Time?
It is very frustrating when globes pop for no apparent reason.
Globes can last a week or even years, they are a bit temperamental, so make sure you place your salt lamp in a stationary position.
It is best not to move your salt lamp when they are switched on, or when the globe is still hot, globes may pop if the salt lamp is exposed to vibration, make sure that the salt lamps is not touching the side of the salt or pushed up too far inside the cavity.
Make sure the light globe is screwed in firmly.
Can I Use A LED light In My Salt Lamps?
NO as the led lights do not generate heat.
Can I Use A Dimmer Light In My Salt Lamps?
We recommend NOT to use dimmer switches as you need the heat to release negative ions into the air.

Power cords are compiled and built to Australian standard and tested for Australian standard as extra protection.
They are extra insulated to stop interference with other electrical appliances.

If the salt lamps are not being use for a period of time or you go away on holidays, switch off the salt lamps, remove cord and globe, cover with a plastic bag to avoid moisture getting to the salt lamp.
Replace globe as needed with a 15watt oven globe.
